Flora Pasquet combines traditional music from the Indian ocean and from neo-soul. Charismatic and sensitive, that serene strenght leads her to explore new sounds and stories in French, Creole (from Reunion Island, place where she comes from), Spanish and English. Her music brings the essence of origin, the modernity of this era and the revelation of who she is today. She also brings stories from her land, rythms to dance with the eclecticism of her beautiful voice. Flora has won the hearts of music lovers of differents kinds of music, from world music, jazz, varieté française to pop music.

Guitarist and composer of jazz and jazz rock , originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He began his career in the mid- 1970s , playing with local groups. He collaborated with jazz rock band Blood, Sweat & Tears , where he was second guitar with Mike Stern. Nestled back in his hometown, worked with Jaco Pastorius , Herbie Hancock , Bob James and Peter Erskine . He debuted in the disc with a surprising and unorthodox album called Music for People, Planets & Washing Machines ( MCA , 1986 ), which got very good reviews from magazines Down Beat and Guitar Player . In 1987 he released Mo ‘Wasabi, their second album, with a group composed of Wayne Shorter , Michael Brecker , Marcus Miller , Steve Gadd, Toots Thielemans and Bobby Economou , among others, collecting high praise from the music press (Jazzin and USA Today , among others). Bernsen spent some time touring around Asia and composing music for TV, before entering the band Joe Zawinul in 1992 , replacing Scott Henderson and participating in the recording of his album Lost Tribes.Bernsen’s other project, Ethnic Rotation teams up with the South Florida group Way of the Groove, featuring, Julius Pastorius, Colin James, Adam Lucas, and multi-instrumentalist Jaui Schneider. High energy ambience (if there is such a thing) mixed with groove improvisations and beatlesque melodies.

Antonio has performed in festivals in Mexico, Cuba and the United States. He has been worked with prominent national and international jazz personalities. Since 1999 he has produced many concerts in Mexico with his band San Miguel Jazz Cats. Since 1997 he has worked in many capacities for the SMJF including: musician, director of education, musical director and producer. For five years he has delivered a series of concerts and didactic lectures on the history and appreciation of jazz at the festival. In 2006, Lozoya reactivated the festival and added blues performances to the program; since then, he has been directing SMJF. For his work, Lozoya was the 2014 beneficiary of the Performing Artists with Trajectory Award from the National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA).
Born in Mexico City, she was studying at the National Conservatory of Music and concludes her career at the Escuela Superior de Música, by the National Institute of Fine Arts, under the direction of Francisco Téllez. Disciple of the renowned Mexican pianist, Héctor Infanzón, she continues her preparation in the Advanced Workshop for Jazz Performers, promoted by “De Quinta Producciones” (2016). She has been invited to play in diverse internationals Jazz festivals such as: Pijazzfest in Manila, Philippines, Jazz Festival in La Paz, Bolivia, took part in the performance “La noche del Tigre” at the International Congress of Montreal, Canada. In addition, she has attended Classical Music festivals at the Festival de Saint-Denis (France), METIS Plaine Commune Maison de Quartier Floréal (France), Festival Europeo di Canto Corale “Cittá di Soave”(Italy), 9th Annual International Choir Festival (LA, CA) with “Harmonies Choir”. She was part of the Panamerican Big Band jazz and the “Ensamble de la Fundación de JazzFest AC” which performed at the U.S.A embassy, International Jazz Seminary in Guatemala. In 2010 she presented her first co-produced jazz record entitled “Hilando Lunas”, leading to her new record production (2015) “Leitmotiv” as leader of the RESIJAZZ project, where she is director, composer and pianist. Resijazz, fully original, acoustic album by soulful woman pianist-jazz-composer, with powerful melodies and Big Band music, Trío, quartet, quintet and sextet in a unique blend of Latinoamerican, blues, funk, and jazz.
Born in Santiago, Chile, in 1976, Gabriel Puentes is a jazz drummer based in Mexico since 1999. He was a student of Ricardo Ruiz (Chile) and, subsequently, took private lessons with Billy Hart, Ralph Peterson, Nasheet Waits, Antonio Sánchez, Ari Hoenig, Tony Martucci and Jim Black. He participates in various projects and has played with the most important jazz musicians of the Mexican scene during the last ten years, such as Eugenio Toussaint, Agustin Bernal, Mark Aanderud, Jorge “Luri” Molina, Alex Mercado, Hector Infanzón, Diego Maroto, Francisco Lelo de Larrea, Remi Alvarez, Iraida Noriega, Aarón Cruz, Alberto Medina, Miguel Villicana, etc. He has also performed with prominent international jazz figures, such as Eddie Gomez, Bill McHenry, Bruce Saunders, Tianna Hall, Donny McCaslin, J.D. Walter, Roland Guerin, Paul McCandless and Sachal Vasandani. Gabriel Puentes has recorded more than twenty released albums and many others to be launched. His first album as a leader, “Simple” featuring Leo Genovese on piano and Chris Lightcap on bass, was released in 2010 by Fresh Sound New Talent in Barcelona.
